| I have long been fascinated by Antarctic exploration. In this piece I depict two great heroes of polar exploration - Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton. Shackleton served under Scott on the Discovery Expedition of 1901-04, and I have tried to capture here their intense physical strain in the harsh environment of the Antarctic. |
